Sheet Metal Fabrication Capabilities
Sheet metal fabrication at PROLEANMFG covers every stage of the fabrication process, from initial cutting to final assembly using the latest metal fabrication equipment.
We also provide DFM support and a design guide for reliable tolerance control for custom sheet metal fabrication. Our range of services can help you craft any sheet metal design and low-to-high volume production.
Laser Cutting
Laser cutting is a cutting process that uses a laser beam to cut sheet metal parts from a flat sheet. Laser cutting provides minimal tolerance deviation and can be used to engrave and etch materials.
Bending & Forming
Bending sheet metal relies on a press brake to form a flat sheet into different angled sheet metal parts. Common bending geometries include U and V-shaped bending, and this process depends on sheet metal thickness.
Stamping
Stamping uses mechanical force to press a piece of sheet metal into a die to form different shapes. Stamping forms sheet metal at high speed and repeatable tolerances.

Welding
Welding is used to join metal parts through fusion or melting. We rely on skilled welders and robotic welding arms to streamline the custom fabrication process.

Sheet Metal Punching
The punch tool has a custom die that is forced into the sheet metal and removes material using shearing force. Punching can produce holes, slots, and features in sheet metal parts.

What Is Sheet Metal Fabrication?
Sheet metal fabrication is a manufacturing process that uses cutting, bending, and assembling flat sheet metal into functional metal products. Sheet metal involves processes like laser cutting, punching, bending sheet metal, and welding, all performed on a metal sheet.
The process works by using pre-cut sheet metal stock and loading it onto the bed of the cutting or bending machine. For cutting, a pre-programmed laser cutter cuts shapes into sheet metal, followed by processes like punching, stamping, or marking.
Deburred parts can further be processed in bending machines to form shapes and angles for final part geometries.
PROLEANMFG uses CAD-driven designs and CNC-controlled machines to meet precise tolerances.
