Legal & data protection

Your designs stay yours.

This policy explains how we handle personal information and the manufacturing data entrusted to us—from a first inquiry and CAD review through production, inspection, delivery, and support.
OUR CORE COMMITMENT

Confidential by default.

Customer files are used only for legitimate project and service purposes. Access is limited to people and approved partners who need the information to perform their work.

01 / Overview

Privacy built around manufacturing work.

Prolean MFG (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. ("ProleanMFG," "we," "us," or "our") provides custom manufacturing, engineering review, quoting, production, inspection, and related services. This policy applies when you use our website, request a quote, contact our team, place an order, visit our facilities, or otherwise interact with us.
This policy covers personal information about identifiable people and Customer Technical Data connected to a quote or manufacturing project. Customer Technical Data is commercially sensitive project information and may not always be personal information; we protect it under the project-confidentiality commitments described here and any applicable contract or NDA.

03 / Customer drawings & technical data

Your CAD is project data—not marketing material.

Customer Technical Data may include 2D drawings, 3D CAD models, specifications, tolerances, bills of materials, reference images, inspection requirements, DFM comments, prototypes, tooling data, and other information needed to quote or manufacture your parts.
You retain ownership.
You give us a limited, non-exclusive permission to access, copy, convert, analyze, annotate, and share the data only as needed to review, quote, manufacture, inspect, deliver, and support your project, comply with law, and protect the service.

Permitted project use

DFM review, pricing, process planning, facility assignment, programming, production, quality, packaging, delivery, and project support.

No unrelated commercialization

We do not sell, license, publish, exhibit, or use your confidential design to manufacture products for another customer.

No unapproved publicity

We do not identify you, show your parts, or use project images in a case study, portfolio, social post, or advertisement without written permission.

Controlled automation

Automated tools may parse files for quoting, geometry, manufacturability, security, or compliance checks. We do not use confidential Customer Technical Data to train public or shared AI models.

Our pre-existing manufacturing methods, software, toolpaths, general know-how, and process improvements remain ours unless a contract says otherwise. This does not transfer ownership of your part design to us. Ownership of project-specific deliverables or design modifications is governed by the applicable quote, order terms, or NDA.

We do not use solely automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about an individual unless we provide the notice and safeguards required by applicable law.
05 / Production confidentiality

Protection continues beyond file upload.

Confidentiality applies across engineering review, supplier selection, production planning, machining or fabrication, outside processing, inspection, packaging, logistics, and after-sales support.
StageHow access is limited
Engineering & quotingAssigned personnel receive the information needed to assess geometry, material, tolerance, process, quality, schedule, and price.
Facility or partner assignmentTechnical data is provided only to approved parties considered for or assigned to the work. Customer identity and unrelated commercial details are removed where practical.
Shop-floor executionWork instructions expose only the detail needed for programming, setup, manufacturing, finishing, inspection, or packing. Unauthorized copying, photography, disclosure, and personal-device storage are prohibited.
Outside processingHeat treatment, coating, testing, logistics, and other providers receive only the information required for their task and are subject to contractual or professional confidentiality duties.
Parts, samples & scrapCustomer parts, fixtures, prototypes, excess pieces, and design-bearing scrap are controlled as project property and returned, retained, or disposed of according to the order, our procedures, and applicable law.
Quality & traceabilityInspection, material, nonconformance, and delivery records are linked to the project and kept accessible only to authorized teams and service providers.

An NDA can be arranged before file sharing.

A signed NDA or specific order term may add project-specific controls. If there is a conflict, the more specific signed agreement governs the confidential project information it covers.

06 / How we share information

Shared for delivery—not broadcast for bidding.

We do not sell Customer Technical Data. We disclose information only when there is a legitimate need and apply confidentiality, security, and data-protection requirements appropriate to the information and relationship.

When legally permitted, we will take reasonable steps to notify the affected customer before a compelled disclosure of confidential project information so the customer may seek protective measures.
07 / Security safeguards

Layered controls for digital and physical work.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed for the sensitivity of the information, the project, and the system. These include controlled access, confidentiality obligations, secure transmission and storage controls, account and privilege management, logging, backup and recovery, supplier controls, personnel training, and incident-response procedures.

08 / Retention & deletion

Kept only for a defined business or legal need.

We retain information for the period reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain project and quality history, meet contractual, warranty, tax, customs, accounting, certification, export-control, or other legal obligations, resolve disputes, secure our systems, and enforce agreements.

A deletion request may not result in immediate or complete removal when we must retain information for an active order, quality traceability, a signed agreement, security, a dispute, or law. We will explain applicable limits when required.
09 / Cookies & marketing

Choice before non-essential measurement.

ProleanMFG uses cookies, tags, pixels, and similar technologies to operate and secure the website, remember choices, understand performance, and—only where enabled and permitted—measure advertising. The controls displayed on the website are intended to let you accept, deny, or save choices for non-essential categories.

Scope of this inventory

The services above were observed in the live website code during a point-in-time review on September 3, 2026. Providers, cookie names, exact lifetimes, and behavior can change. The production cookie declaration must be generated from a clean-session scan and kept current.

IMPLEMENTATION REVIEW

Consent blocking and policy links require correction before publication.

During the September 3 review, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity, Google Ads/DoubleClick, and reCAPTCHA code was present while the initial consent panel was still open and Statistics and Marketing were shown as unselected. This observation does not by itself prove that every optional cookie was stored or every measurement event was sent, but it requires a clean-session network test and remediation if any non-essential processing occurs before consent. The consent tool’s configured privacy and cookie-policy links also routed to an unrelated CNC tolerance article and must be replaced with the correct policy URLs.

Third-party services process information under their own privacy terms. Where ProleanMFG determines their use, we remain responsible for selecting an appropriate provider, configuring it consistently with the stated choice, and providing required information and rights.
10 / Legal bases

Why processing is lawful.

Where laws such as the EU or UK GDPR require a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following:

CONTRACT

To take steps at your request, provide a quote, fulfill an order, manage payment, and deliver support.

LEGITIMATE INTERESTS

To operate and improve a secure manufacturing business, manage relationships, prevent fraud, protect rights, and send relevant business communications where those interests are not overridden by your rights.

LEGAL OBLIGATION

To meet tax, accounting, customs, sanctions, export-control, regulatory, safety, and lawful disclosure requirements.

CONSENT

Where required for non-essential cookies, optional marketing, or another use explained when consent is requested. You may withdraw consent prospectively.

11 / International transfers

Manufacturing can cross borders. Protection must travel with the data.

ProleanMFG operates from China and serves customers internationally. Information may be processed in China and in other countries where our customers, affiliates, cloud or communication providers, manufacturing partners, outside processors, logistics providers, or advisers operate.
Where a cross-border transfer requires safeguards, we use a lawful transfer mechanism appropriate to the relationship and jurisdiction, which may include adequacy decisions, approved contractual clauses, data-transfer agreements, consent where valid, or another legally recognized mechanism. Local laws may differ from those in your country.
12 / Your privacy rights

Choices depend on where you live.

Subject to applicable law and exceptions, you may have the right to request access to or a copy of personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, or information about how data is used and disclosed. You may also have a right to appeal a decision or complain to a data-protection authority.
To protect you and other customers, we may verify your identity and authority before responding. An authorized agent may submit a request where the law allows. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Rights generally apply to personal information; deletion or access to confidential project data may also be governed by your contract, NDA, or order requirements.
13 / Nda & restricted data

Some files require a conversation before upload.

STOP BEFORE UPLOAD

Do not submit controlled or unusually sensitive data through the standard quote flow unless we have confirmed that the project and transfer are permitted.

This can include ITAR- or EAR-controlled technical data, CUI or military technical data, nuclear or defense information, government-classified data, regulated health data, credentials, personal financial information, or another category subject to special localization, licensing, security, or handling requirements.

You are responsible for having the rights and authorizations needed to provide project data and for identifying applicable export, sanctions, intellectual-property, secrecy, or industry restrictions. We may refuse, quarantine, return, or delete files that we cannot lawfully or securely process.
14 / Other important information
